Church of the Nazarene Articles of Faith states that We believe:
- In one God – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- That the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
- That man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore inclined to evil, and that continually.
- That the those who do not repent of their sins and embrace God’s love are hopelessly and eternally lost.
- That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whoever represents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
- That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
- That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgement will take place.
The Church of the Nazarene believes in one God made up of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We hold that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is completely inspired and contains everything needed for faith and living as a Christian.
We believe that people are born with a sinful nature and are naturally inclined to do wrong.
Those who do not turn away from their sins and accept God’s love will be eternally lost.
We believe that Jesus Christ died for everyone, and anyone who believes in Him can be forgiven, made new, and freed from sin.
Believers are expected to fully dedicate themselves to God through faith after being saved.
The Holy Spirit confirms both the new birth and complete dedication of believers.
We believe that Jesus will return, the dead will be raised, and everyone will face final judgment.
